School Already?

Where did summer go? Wow! It seems like we just got done with school only to turn around and order more books. I need to get out weekly schedule worked out yet. That takes some time. All said and done though, I do like working on this stuff! It is always exciting to start a new school year.

We rearranged the family room/school room the other day. Thank you hubby for all your hard work! :-) It looks much more open and Ethan isnt stuck in a corner. I am hoping he will be able to concentrate better now. Hoping...

We started getting some of his books in the mail already. Its fun to see them and look through them. Ethan likes his science books! Thats a plus. We are looking into getting him an ant farm...one of those that has the special gel.

The last two weeks have gone very well. We came back from Colorado with attitudes of "I don't want to do school!", but with many a talk and a few attitude adjustments we are back on the right track. It has helped that I made schedules for both Ethan and I. When we get up, eat, school, chores, nightly clean-up and then bed. We will be working on exercising every day as well. That one starts today.

It has been a huge help to me that I gave Matthew and I a bed time. 11:00pm and we can then read for a few minutes and pray. It has been very nice. The Lord has helped me go to sleep almost right away too! I was so afraid I would just lie there wide awake till 2:00 in the morning. But the Lord has blessed my efforts. Thank you!
